Meet the Writer

I grew up in a small middle Georgian town where I was surrounded by beloved friends and family. I discovered my love for writing at an early age and spent hours working on books that never got published and newsletters only seen by my best friend. My dream was to become a famous author someday.

In college, I tried my hand with creating posters, writing short stories for the college, tutoring students in the ways of MLA formatting and sentence stucture, and fulfilling my dream, published my first novel, which you can see here.

Then in 2011, my life changed as I moved to Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany, with my Active Duty Air Force husband! As I grew to love Germany and all of its wonders (ice cream, cheap shoes, great sales, awesome food), I worked on finishing my degree in Communications with a Minor in English. Afterwards, I sharpened my skills to be a volunteer writer for the Kaiserslautern American, the newspaper on base. I wrote a variety of stories ranging from human interests to promotional articles. You can see them here.

Our lives changed again as we moved from Germany to Wyoming, USA! I soon found myself as an AmeriCorps Member as the Outreach Coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters. This position allowed me to meet new people in my area and to network with people whom I wouldn't have met otherwise. I presented to Rotaries, Clubs, and chain stores about Big Brothers Big Sisters. I also held informational booths at local events to talk to people about our programs.

We started making a little family for ourselves and the two rascals that we love so much are named Sassy, the cutest black kitty you ever did see with a sassy attitude to match it, and Casey, our adorable blue/red heeler mix who is gassy, whiny, and loves everyone.

Now that my Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter has closed, my love for writing can no longer be contained! I am excited to start my new Freelancing Writing career! This has been a long dream of mine since entering and exiting college and I would love for you to make my dream a reality.

I hope you will follow me on my blog as I show you the world that I live in: writing, marriage, pets, life, and much more! This blog is for you to get to know me as a person, to know my ups and downs, my struggles and highs, and to grow deep in the love that God has for all of us. I hope you enjoy this journey as we make it together!
